The third bridge in Barangay Lumangbayan, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, was built by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The work was done by the Southern Mindoro District Engineering Office. The Lumangbayan PCDG Bridge Project is now complete with this new building. The first and second bridges were built in 2022.

The Marcos government wants to help the economy and business grow by connecting communities that used to be cut off from each other. This effort to improve the infrastructure is one part of that goal. The Lumangbayan Bridge makes it easier for people to get to places where they can do business, travel, and get important services like health care and education.

District Engineer Annielyn E. Padullo wrote a report to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, saying that the project was to build a PSCG Bridge that was 238.50 square meters with two lanes and a span of 25.00 linear meters. There was also a 590.00-linear-meter retaining wall, concrete guardrails, and solar LED lighting as part of the project to make sure the roads were safe and would last.

People from the barangays of Guinhawa, Banilad, Pili, Ranzo, Sta. Isabel, and Lumangbayan use the bridge. This route is very important because it goes to Pinamalayan’s famous beaches and tourist attractions. It is also very important for goods and services to move smoothly. This helps the town’s economy keep getting better.
The DPWH wants to build great infrastructure that connects people, keeps them safe, and helps Oriental Mindoro grow.
