Along the Aramaywan-Berong-Puerto Princesa Road is now safer beacause of the successful rehabilitation of the Culandanum Bridge in Aborlan, Palawan.

The project addressed the replacement of deteriorated drain pipes and the reinforcement of slope protection to improve the bridge’s durability completed by DPWH Palawan 3rd DEO.

In her report to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, Palawan 3rd District Engineer Amelia B. Fajardo detailed that the project covered the rehabilitation and major repair of a 60-meter concrete bridge. The works included earthworks, bridge construction, drainage improvements, slope protection structures, and other safety-enhancing features.

The completion of this initiative strengthens the bridge’s resilience against extreme weather conditions while ensuring continuous and reliable access for motorists and pedestrians. By reinforcing the structure, the project minimizes accident risks, prevents disruptions during heavy rains and typhoons, and reduces future maintenance expenses, contributing to both community safety and sustained local economic activity.
