Smooth and Secure Traslacion 2025 a Priority, Says PNP

The Philippine National Police (PNP) declared on Sunday that it is ready for the religious procession known as the Traslacion, which will take place in Quiapo, Manila, this Thursday.

PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil stated, “Traslacion shows deep faith and devotion. The PNP is committed to protecting all devotees and maintaining peace and order during this sacred event.” To guarantee a seamless celebration, the PNP is collaborating closely with the Manila city government, religious organizations, and other organizations.

About 15,000 police officers will be stationed in key areas such as the procession route, crowded locations, and entry and exit points.

Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo from the PNP Public Information Office said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will also send troops from the Army, Navy, and Air Force to assist during the event.

Special police units trained in crowd control will be deployed to maintain order and ensure the procession runs smoothly. The PNP Intelligence Group and Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) will monitor for any physical or digital threats.

Medical teams and quick-response units will be on standby to provide assistance. Traffic management will be handled by the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) and local traffic enforcers to minimize disruptions.

The PNP reminded the public to follow safety protocols and avoid bringing prohibited items like sharp objects and backpacks.

“We ask everyone to cooperate with security measures, report anything suspicious, and stay safe. Your help is key to the success of this event,” said Marbil.

The public will receive regular updates on safety guidelines and other event information.

“Security is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can make Traslacion 2025 a safe and meaningful experience for all,” Marbil added.
