Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna praised First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos for her concern and efforts to improve the health system in the Philippines.
Mayor Lacuna joined the First Lady during the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Pediatric and Adult Specialty Building at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) on Taft Avenue, Manila.
Mayor Lacuna said she is happy with the First Lady’s support for PGH, especially because many of the hospital’s patients are from Manila.
“It is a great honor to be part of this special groundbreaking event, and to be invited to join First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos,” said Lacuna, who is also a doctor.
She added, “Her presence shows her true care and support for improving the country’s health system. We are very thankful for the chance to take part in this event.”
