President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. asked China to give an early warning before launching rockets to reduce the danger of rocket debris falling into Philippine waters.
He said this is not the first time suspected Chinese rocket parts have landed in the country’s seas. Marcos hopes China will give information ahead of time about the rocket’s direction and where its stages might fall.
“There have been no casualties… the good thing is no one was hurt and no damage happened,” Marcos said.
He also told Chinese President Xi Jinping that the Philippines has no interest in keeping their rockets. “Just tell us where they will fall, we will collect them and give them back to you. That continues to be my offer to China,” Marcos added.
Recently, parts of Palawan were alarmed after hearing the explosion from China’s Long March 12 rocket.
