Czech Agriculture Minister Set to Forge Partnerships with Philippines

Czech Agriculture Minister, Marek VĂ½bornĂ½, is slated to embark on a visit to Manila next week with the aim of fostering collaboration with the Philippines to bolster its food security endeavors.

Following a bilateral meeting with President Marcos, Czech President Petr Pavel disclosed plans for the agriculture minister’s visit alongside a contingent of entrepreneurs during a joint press conference.

Pavel remarked, “Our agriculture minister, accompanied by a substantial delegation of our business community, will imminently journey to the Philippines armed with concrete proposals.”

In a gesture of bilateral goodwill, Pavel extended an invitation to Marcos for a three-day official visit to the Czech Republic, underscoring the commemoration of fifty years of diplomatic ties between the two nations celebrated the preceding year.

During his stay, VĂ½bornĂ½ will engage in discussions with Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel and spearhead a business symposium in Makati City scheduled for March 21st.

The Czech delegation, comprising the agriculture minister and business representatives, will also convene a business forum in the Davao region. Additionally, they will tour the facilities of the Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. located in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
