Vice President Sara Duterte joined the celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, according to an update from PDP-Laban.
She was seen at the event together with Senators Robin Padilla and Imee Marcos.
Also present were PDP-Laban President Robin Padilla, Deputy Secretary General for the Visayas Atty. Jayvee Hinlo, and Arbitration Committee Chairperson Atty. Jimmy Bondoc.
Padilla and Marcos were among the 18 senators who voted on Tuesday, June 10, to return the Articles of Impeachment to the House of Representatives.
Earlier that day, Vice President Duterte traveled to Malaysia with her family for a personal trip.
“Vice President Sara Duterte is travelling to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on a personal trip with her family,” said the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
“During her visit, she is scheduled to attend the Independence Day celebration and meet with Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on June 12 as part of an OVP program,” the office added.
