Korean actors Jung Il Woo, Jung In Sun, and Yoon Hyun Min will star in a new weekend drama called “Splendid Days.” KBS2 made the official announcement on June 17.
The drama is directed by Kim Hyung Suk, who worked on shows like “Cheat On Me, If You Can” and “My Golden Life,” and written by So Hyun Kyung, known for “Seo Yeong, My Daughter” and “Twenty Again.”
“Splendid Days” is a family story that shows how every person has special moments in life—whether in the past, now, or in the future. It’s about how people remember and grow from those moments.
Jung Il Woo will play Lee Ji Hyuk, a smart and successful man with a good job and personal life. He looks perfect, but faces hard times and slowly learns what really matters in life.
Jung In Sun will play Ji Eun Oh, a positive and hardworking woman who runs a café and does interior design. Even though life has been hard for her, she stays kind and strong. She has feelings for Ji Hyuk, but even after he turns her down, she continues to support him.
Yoon Hyun Min will play Park Sung Jae, a rich and polite man who seems to have it all. But deep inside, he feels lonely. He becomes close to Ji Hyuk and his family and goes through a journey of emotions, love, and friendship.
The production team said, “With these amazing actors, we hope the drama’s story and emotions will touch viewers of all ages.”
“Splendid Days” will start airing in August, after the drama “For Eagle Brothers.”
