Iran’s foreign minister said that Iran will stop its attacks only if Israel stops its airstrikes before 4 a.m. local time.
This message came from Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. It is the first time Iran has spoken officially after U.S. President Donald Trump talked about a possible ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
At 4:16 a.m. Tehran time, Araghchi posted on social media platform X.
He wrote: “Right now, there is no ceasefire or agreement to stop fighting. But if Israel stops attacking the Iranian people by 4 a.m., we will also stop our actions.”
He also said the final decision to stop military action would be made later.
In another post, Araghchi said that Iran’s armed forces kept attacking Israel until the last minute, 4 a.m.
He thanked the Iranian military and said they are always ready to defend the country, even if it costs them their lives.
