Former President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Sara Duterte are still the most trusted public figures in the Philippines, according to a new Pulse Asia survey released on Monday, May 26, 2025.
The survey was conducted from May 6 to 9. It showed that former President Duterte got the highest trust rating with 63%. He was followed by VP Sara Duterte with 50%. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. got a trust rating of 32%.
The survey also showed the opposite side — who people do not trust. President Marcos had the highest distrust rating at 42%. VP Sara was not trusted by 25% of respondents, while only 17% said they do not trust former President Duterte.
On the topic of impeachment, most Filipinos said they do not support removing VP Sara from office. According to the survey, 50% are against her impeachment, while 28% said they support it.
The survey also asked if people support the possible arrest of former President Duterte. About 58% said they are against it, while 26% said they are in favor of his arrest.
