The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Davao del Norte District Engineering Office has reported substantial progress on its asphalt overlay project along the Tagum–Panabo Circumferential Road, a key infrastructure route in the province.

This preventive maintenance initiative, spanning 2.104 kilometers within the Municipality of Asuncion, is designed to improve road conditions, extend pavement lifespan, and ensure safer, smoother travel for motorists.
Boosting Safety and Accessibility
According to DPWH officials, the project aims to minimize road wear and surface irregularities, enhancing driving comfort and reducing the likelihood of accidents caused by uneven road textures.

Upon completion, the upgraded section of the Tagum–Panabo Circumferential Road is expected to ease traffic flow, support local commerce, and facilitate faster travel between major municipalities. It will also help improve logistics efficiency for businesses that rely on smooth inter-municipal transport routes.
Part of DPWH’s Ongoing Infrastructure Drive
The project is part of DPWH’s broader commitment to maintain and modernize road networks nationwide, ensuring resilient and well-maintained infrastructure in alignment with the Build Better More program.

DPWH continues to invest in similar asphalt overlay and rehabilitation projects across Mindanao to strengthen regional mobility, improve public safety, and promote sustainable economic development.
