In Barangay Santa Elena, Batangas, AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), a division of Aboitiz Power Corp., recently supported an entrepreneurial and basic sewing skills training program. In collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), this training was delivered.
In order to help the beneficiaries obtain a National Certification Level II in dressmaking from TESDA and so secure a livelihood, APRI gave 25 sewing machines and start-up kits. To ensure the project’s longevity, the barangay committed to ongoing support in the form of marketing assistance and stakeholder participation.
With installations in Tiwi, Albay, Bay and Calauan, Laguna, and Batangas, APRI is a generator of geothermal energy that offers clean, sustainable baseload power.
