Imee Marcos Denies Conflict with Brother Bongbong

Senator Imee Marcos has denied that she and her brother, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., are having any conflict. She said that they are still siblings, but the people around them are causing confusion.

Marcos explained that their family is not the problem, but the people on both sides are making things messy. She is running again for the Senate and mentioned that those who are eager for the 2028 presidential election are stirring up trouble.

She said, “You know, there are many gossipers, jealous people, and ambitious ones who are rushing for 2028. It’s still far away. Let Bongbong and Vice President Sara Duterte finish their terms first. There’s no need for all this fighting.”

Marcos added that this “fighting” is the reason she sometimes distances herself. “That’s what I don’t like, which is why I sometimes step away,” she said.

It is worth noting that Marcos joined the first two campaign rallies of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, even though she said she would remain “independent.”
