Noah Lyles delivered a historic performance at the World Athletics Championships 2025 in Tokyo, winning gold in the men’s 200m (19.52) and the 4x100m relay (37.29), plus a bronze in the 100m (9.89).

The American sprint star clinched his fourth straight 200m world title, equaling Usain Bolt’s record, and set the fastest time of 2025 in the semifinals at 19.51 seconds. Anchoring Team USA in the relay, Lyles also secured a world-leading mark and the nation’s 10th world title in the event.

Now with eight global titles, Lyles said winning in Tokyo erased painful memories from the 2021 Olympics, adding he is determined to become the first man to win five 200m world titles.
