The Lolita Cup Basketball Tournament Season 2 continued to thrill fans on its third day, June 6, 2024, with two exciting matchups. The MacArthur Gymnasium in MacArthur, Leyte was alive with cheers and excitement as teams battled it out on the court.
In the first game of the day, the Tanauan team showcased their prowess and determination, dominating the MECOs of Tolosa. Tanauan’s “Better & Brighter” gameplay was evident as they finished strong with a commanding victory, ending the game with a score of 114-76.
Mel Ivan Parungao of Tanauan was the standout player, contributing an impressive 29 points to his team’s victory. His performance was a key factor in securing the win over Tolosa.
The second game saw Abante MacArthur living up to their name by taking a significant step forward in the tournament. They secured their first win against the La Paz Viajedores with a final score of 110-66. The team’s coordinated efforts and strategic plays paid off as they dominated the court.
Jonas Bansale led Abante MacArthur to victory with a remarkable 19-point contribution. His efforts were instrumental in his team’s triumph over La Paz.
