Seniors Aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 Can Get ₱10,000 Cash Aid

Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, the commissioner and officer-in-charge of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), announced that senior citizens in the Philippines who reach the ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95 can now receive ₱10,000.

In a recent interview with TeleRadyo Serbisyo, Loreche explained that this financial aid will come from the national government. The government considers these ages as “milestone ages.”

“Our senior citizens who turn 80, 85, 90, and 95 will receive ₱10,000 in cash from the national government,” she said.

This cash aid is part of the Expanded Centenarian Act, which was finalized on February 26, 2024.

Who Can Apply?

Loreche clarified that only those who celebrated their milestone birthdays starting March 17, 2024, can apply.

“If you turned 80, 85, 90, or 95 on March 17, 2024, or later, you are eligible,” she said.

However, those applying in 2025 may receive the cash aid first. This is because the budget given to NCSC will only cover January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

“For those who reached their milestone ages from March 17, 2024, to December 31, 2024, you will be placed on a waitlist. But don’t worry, we are working on getting funds for you,” she added.

How to Apply?

Senior citizens who qualify can apply through the NCSC website. They can also visit the nearest Office of Senior Citizens Affairs or the local Social Welfare and Development office for assistance.
