Marcos Promises All LGUs Will Get Medical Vehicles This Year

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. promised that all local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines will receive Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) before the end of the year.

He said his administration is working hard to provide each city and municipality with at least one PTV to help improve health services.

During a distribution event held this morning at Quirino Grandstand, the President stressed that every Filipino has the right to quality health services.

From June 2022 to June 2025, a total of 680 PTVs have already been distributed. Today, an additional 397 units were given out.

The newly distributed PTVs will be delivered to LGUs in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4-A, 4-B, the Bicol Region, and the Cordillera Administrative Region. Eastern Visayas and some parts of Mindanao will receive theirs next.

There are a total of 149 cities and 1,493 municipalities in the country. According to the President, bigger LGUs may receive more than one unit.

The President also asked LGUs to take good care of the vehicles so that medical services can continue to reach those who need them.
