Day 14 of the Lolita Cup Season 2 Basketball tournament brought fans to their feet with intense matchups and remarkable performances at the Jaro Gymnasium. Three exciting games highlighted the day, with Barugo, Tanauan, and Capoocan emerging victorious.
Game 1: CARIGARA vs BARUGO (2:00 PM)
Super A to Z Barugo came back stronger from their previous match, confidently dominating the court against the Cobras of Carigara. They secured a decisive 30-point lead, finishing the game 93-63.
Clint Jay Naluz was the star of the afternoon, dropping an impressive 30 points and leading Super A to Z Barugo to victory.
Game 2: ALANGALANG vs TANAUAN (4:00 PM)
In an electrifying match that extended into double overtime, Better and Brighter Tanauan showcased their championship prowess from last season. They edged out the Alangalang Golden Bell Warriors with a final score of 90-87.
Mel Ivan Parungao was unstoppable, scoring 32 points and guiding Tanauan to a thrilling win after an epic double-overtime battle.
Game 3: JARO vs CAPOOCAN (6:00 PM)
Uswag Capoocan did not bow to the home-court advantage of the Jaro Warriors. Instead, they played with full effort and secured a strong finish, winning with a 13-point lead, 86-73.
Jeffrey Arintok shone bright, scoring 24 points and leading Uswag Capoocan to victory over the Jaro Warriors.
