Jaro, Leyte-The Day 24 of the highly anticipated Lolita Cup Basketball Tournament continued with another exciting day of action on July 14, 2024 at the Jaro Gymnasium.
Game 1: Burauen vs. Julita (2:00 PM)
In the opening match of the day, the Julita Hulatan Hoopers took on the formidable Burauen Volcanoes. The game went down to the wire, with the Julita squad eventually emerging victorious in overtime, 92-87. James Peleño was named the Player of the Game for his 16-point performance that helped propel the Hulatan Hoopers to victory.
Game 2: Barugo vs. Santa Fe (4:00 PM)
The second game of the day featured the undefeated Barugo Super A to Z squad taking on the Santa Fe Rice Guardians. Barugo continued their dominant run, securing a comfortable 103-76 win. Mark Uy was the standout performer for Barugo, scoring 27 points to earn the Player of the Game award.
Game 3: Carigara vs. Jaro (6:00 PM)
In the final match of the day, the Carigara Cobras took on the Jaro Warriors. The Cobras’ venomous ball movement proved too much for the Warriors, as Carigara emerged victorious with a score of 84-72. Jhan Dave Canabe was named the Player of the Game for his impressive 26-point display.
