Actor-singer Darren Espanto is said to have helped actresses Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto resolve their issues.
According to Salve Asis, editor of Pilipino Star Ngayon, this reconciliation happened at the unexpected birthday party of Johnny “Mr.” Star Magic, the former head of Star Magic. M” Manahan last Saturday night at Resorts World Manila. On February 11, Manahan celebrated becoming 77 years old.
Manahan mentored Bea and Julia while they were Star Magic performers, and he now works as a consultant for GMA’s talent division.
Witnesses at the party saw Julia and Bea chuckling and giving each other warm cheek kisses (“beso beso”).
Their disagreement stems from an earlier period in their relationship when they fought over the actor Gerald Anderson. Gerald allegedly “ghosted” Bea and pursued a connection with Julia while they were together. Notably, Gerald was supposedly at a mall exhibition in Mindanao, therefore he was unable to attend the party.
In response to rumors over the state of their engagement, Bea’s boyfriend, Dominic Roque, did not attend the ceremony either. Although there have been rumors that they might have reconciled, the pair has not yet released an official statement confirming this.
