House leaders said they are still focused on their work despite former Ako Bicol Representative Zaldy Co’s accusations against President Marcos Jr. and former Speaker Martin Romualdez about alleged budget “insertions” in the 2025 budget.
Deputy Speaker Ronaldo Puno said the House operations are normal. He added that the Committee on Rules, led by Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, continues to work properly and hearings are ongoing.
Deputy Speakers Ferdinand Hernandez and Kristine Singson-Meehan also said members are following the House leadership and are focused on making laws needed by the country.
They added that the House continues its work, with more than 100 bills passing first reading and eight members delivering privilege speeches in the afternoon session.
