The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the MIMAROPA Region continues to spearhead projects aimed at bolstering transportation infrastructure, with recent accomplishments showcasing significant strides in road and bridge development.
#1 Bridge Widening Project in Puerto Princesa
In Palawan, the completion of the Bridge Widening Project along the Puerto Princesa South Road marks a milestone in improving traffic flow and safety. Under the leadership of Palawan 2nd District Engineer Noel L. Fuentebella, the widening of Calasaguen Bridge in Brooke’s Point Municipality is expected to enhance the capacity and resilience of the structure, ensuring smoother commutes and bolstering disaster preparedness measures.
#2 Road Construction in Brgy. Fortuna Socorro
Meanwhile, in Oriental Mindoro, the DPWH Mindoro Oriental District Engineering Office successfully concluded a road construction endeavor in Brgy. Fortuna, Socorro Municipality. Led by District Engineer Salvador E. Abad, this project involved the concreting of a 297.50 linear meter road, equipped with slope protection and wheel guards.
#3 Completion of Road Construction along Odiongan East-West Road
Furthermore, in Romblon, the completion of road construction along the Odiongan East-West Road in Tablas Island signifies another triumph for DPWH MIMAROPA Region. Spearheaded by DPWH MIMAROPA Construction Division Chief Dominic G. Serrano, this project features various enhancements including concrete paving, stone masonry, and solar-powered lights for road safety.
