BLACKPINK’s Rosé and singer Bruno Mars have made music history with their hit song “APT.”
On June 17, Billboard announced that “APT.” stayed at number 24 on the Hot 100 chart for 34 weeks in a row. This chart shows the most popular songs in the United States each week.
With this, “APT.” has now broken the record for the longest time a song by a K-pop artist stayed on the Hot 100 chart. The previous record was held by BTS’s Jimin, whose song “Who” stayed on the chart for 33 weeks.
Aside from the Hot 100, “APT.” is also doing well on other Billboard charts. It is number 4 on both the Global 200 and Global Excluding U.S. charts. It is also number 20 on the Digital Song Sales chart and number 36 on the Streaming Songs chart.
The song also went up to number 24 again on the Radio Songs chart, which shows the most played songs on U.S. radio.
Big congratulations to Rosé and Bruno Mars for setting a new record!
