James Curtis-Smith was a World War II veteran. He also worked as a lawyer and served as a former officer of the Royal Australian Navy. His long career showed his dedication to service and discipline.
Back in 2018, Anne asked the public to pray for her father when he was hospitalized and needed surgery for an undisclosed condition. He later recovered.
