Speaker Martin Romualdez thanked the Waray people for their strong support for the senatorial candidates of Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas. Around 100,000 people attended the campaign rally in Tacloban City last Friday.
Romualdez said that the unity shown by the people of Eastern Visayas proves their full support for President Marcos Jr.’s leadership.
“This is not just a rally—it is a commitment to continue the reforms that will strengthen our economy and bring a better future for every Filipino,” Romualdez said.
The House leader urged voters to support the entire Alyansa slate, as they will help the President speed up the country’s progress.
The Alyansa candidates include House Deputy Majority Leader and ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo, former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Sen. Lito Lapid, Sen. Imee Marcos, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Sen. Francis “Tol” Tolentino, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.
