Labor group Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP), Asian Peoples’ Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD), Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM), and other groups called for the implementation of a wealth tax and a 750-peso legislated wage increase during a workers’ forum and press conference at the University of the Philippines Integrated School in Quezon City on June 29.
