“Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” which was produced by Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc., appears to have ended.
As of the time of publication, TAPE has not made an official announcement, but last Saturday’s broadcast featured hints from the show’s hosts about the potential of its closure.
Expressing gratitude, main host Isko Moreno, at the conclusion of the show, thanked all supporters and advertisers, saying, “Whatever you do and whatever problems you face, do everything for love. That’s how we love you, Kapuso. Every day, Paolo (Contis), the TP family, and Tape Inc. strive to bring ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ to every Filipino family. Of course, thank you to our advertisers, supporters, and our Kapuso community.”
Adding to this sentiment, Paolo Contis said, “Many, many thanks. And this is the grand Saturday. Another Saturday we won’t forget, and all of this is our gift to you from the TAPE Inc. family — the provider of joy and unlimited surprises since 1979 through ‘Eat Bulaga’ until now with ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya.'”
The show’s Facebook and YouTube accounts were also deleted following the broadcast.
Reportedly, the show employed 97 production staff and 33 TAPE Inc. employees.
On January 6, TAPE Inc. rebranded the show from “Eat Bulaga” to “Tahanang Pinakamasaya” after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon won their trademark case.
