Now that DPWH Occidental Mindoro DEO has completed the new road project, residents of Barangay Barahan, Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro, can more easily access vital community services. Directly across the street, on the beach, are the Barangay Hall and Covered Court.

In a report submitted to Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director, District Engineer Junie A. Lupango stated that the project involved installing four solar-powered streetlights and paving a 0.488-kilometer section of road. Together, these lights improve nighttime road visibility and safety.
The area’s coastal environment is enhanced by the new road, which also makes it simpler to travel to local events and government services. The initiative creates new prospects for community development as well as future expansion in tourism and the local economy by making things more connected and appealing.
