The Palace said it is open to supporting a new law that aims to control internet use among young people.
This follows the proposal of Senator Ping Lacson to limit internet access for minors, saying that studies show too much internet use can affect mental health.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the government welcomes any plan that will help the public, especially the youth.
If the proposal is proven to help the mental well-being of young people, the President is likely to support it.
