In a recent exchange, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla responded to Vice Mayor Jeryll Harold Respicio's request for reimbursement of his drug test expenses. During a statement made on Thursday, October 8, Remulla indicated that he would process the refund via GCash.
Remulla stated, 'I will get his number from the DILG and send the reimbursement through GCash.' Shortly after this announcement, Respicio shared a GCash QR code on his Facebook page, specifying an amount of 28,011 pesos for the drug test reimbursement, stating, 'Jonvic, here’s the QR code. Please reimburse me for the drug test.'
On October 7, Respicio also posted an invoice from St. Luke’s Medical Center regarding the drug test, emphasizing the high cost with the caption, 'Jonvic, refund me. The drug test was expensive.' Remulla previously suggested that Respicio needed to undergo a drug test after his outburst during a session of the Sangguniang Bayan, expressing concerns about the vice mayor's conduct and stating, 'I have never seen a vice mayor shout like that; it seems he is acting like he’s under the influence.'
