It’s Showtime” Hints to Unexpected Move and Possible GMA Transfer for Viewers

The loyal viewers of “It’s Showtime” have been teased with a surprise revelation that promises something special for the “madlang people.”

The popular noontime show posted an animated video with GMA-7’s recognizable typography on their social media accounts. The animated letters I, t, and s in “It’s Showtime” were particularly noteworthy since they included a heart symbol that was evocative of GMA-7’s well-known identity.

“ABANGAN,” the post yelled, piqueing the interest of viewers and followers.

Recent reports suggest that “It’s Showtime” might be making a significant move to GMA-7’s main channel, potentially taking over the slot previously occupied by “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”

“It’s Showtime” moved to GTV in July of last year when TV5 decided not to accept their offer of a postponed show at 4:30 p.m. This change was made to make room for a new program presented by Joey de Leon, Vic Sotto, and Tito Sotto, the three pillars of “Eat Bulaga!”

Now, GMA-7 airs Filipino films during the noon hour in place of TAPE Inc.’s “Tahanang Pinakamasaya.”

Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. recently announced their decision to end “Tahanang Pinakamasaya,” ushering in a new era for GMA-7’s noontime programming.
