Israel-Iran Tensions: Iran Ends Missile Strike on U.S. Base in Qatar – No Reported Casualties

Iran launched a missile strike on the U.S.-operated Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday, reportedly in retaliation for recent American airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. A U.S. official confirmed the attack has concluded, with no casualties reported.

The Iranian offensive comes two days after the U.S. deployed B-2 bombers to drop 14 “bunker buster” bombs on three nuclear sites in Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump claimed the strikes caused “monumental damage” to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, though Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, stated a complete damage assessment is still underway.

Following the escalation, Qatar temporarily closed its airspace. The U.S. and U.K. embassies advised their citizens in Qatar to shelter in place until further notice. The U.S. embassy noted this precaution is “out of an abundance of caution,” while the U.K. issued a similar advisory in response to the U.S. alert.

These developments follow a U.S. State Department advisory urging American citizens abroad to remain vigilant due to rising regional tensions. The Rapport Philippines has learned of a credible threat to the U.S.-led Coalition Air Operations Center at Al Udeid.
