Completes Access Road Project to Boost Agribusiness in Culion, Palawan

The Palawan Super Corn Development Corporation’s access road is now paved, thanks to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Palawan 1st District Engineering Office (DEO). This makes it easier for farmers and crop growers in Culion, Palawan to move their goods.

The new road solves the long-standing problem of roads that are muddy and dusty. This makes it easier and safer for farmers to get their goods to big cities and nearby towns, and it also lowers the cost of moving them.

In his report to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, Palawan 1st District Engineer Rommel P. Aguirre said that the project needed to pour concrete on a 120-linear meter Portland Cement Concrete Pavement that would last and be strong.

People believe that new infrastructure will help the local economy by bringing in more business for the agro industry. The road project will help farmers and businesses that are related to farming, like transportation, retail, and services.

This will make Culion’s role in the growth and development of agriculture in Palawan even more important.
