The Puerto Princesa South Road expansion is now finished by the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) third district engineering office (DEO) in Palawan. This means that the road can handle more traffic, which makes it easier for people who live in Barangay Irawan, Puerto Princesa City, to go around.

Amelia B. Fajardo, the engineer for the Palawan 3rd District, told DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, that the project involves 0.691 lane-kilometers, or 483 meters, of reinforced road infrastructure.

The pavement is safe and will last a long time because it is 0.28 meters thick and has some cemented shoulders.
The work is done, and there is less traffic, especially around rush hour. People who work every day have found it simpler to live.

The extra lanes have made travel faster and safer by lowering the chance of accidents. This illustrates how serious DPWH is about making the roads in Palawan safer and more functional.
