De Lima’s Last Drug Case Dismissed

The Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 206 has dismissed former Senator Leila de Lima’s last drug case.

Her attorney, Boni Tacardon, verified that de Lima’s move for a demurrer to the evidence was approved by the court. In March, De Lima submitted a demurrer, asking the court to reject the case for lack of proof.

The prosecution’s evidence proved insufficient to establish de Lima’s guilt, according to the court’s decision.

The Muntinlupa City RTC-Branch 205 dismissed one of her three cases in February 2021. Along with her co-accused and former bodyguard, Ronnie Dayan, de Lima was acquitted for the second time in May 2023 by the Muntinlupa RTC Branch 204.
