CEBU CITY — On the second day of the contests at the SRP Archery Range, Naina Dominique Tagle from Central Visayas shone brilliantly, winning two gold medals in the Junior Women Recurve division at Palarong Pambansa 2024.
Silliman University student Tagle won the 60- and 70-meter competitions. Her outstanding performance confirmed her as one of the best archers in the world and greatly helped Central Visayas’ chances of winning the tournament as a whole.
Tagle defeated Ginafe Fabrero of Schocsargen and Cassandra Louise Enecio of the National Capital Region, who took home the silver and bronze medals, in the fiercely contested 60m Junior Women Recurve event.
Tagle won her second gold medal for Central Visayas in the 70-meter event, defeating Yzsabella Fajardo of the Bicol Region and Emy Angela Peredo of the CAR. Tagle was unstoppable.
Athletes have been competing fiercely in a variety of sports during the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2024, demonstrating their abilities and toughness.
Daron Chester Lovendino from Central Luzon and Quinn Myer Loreno from Soccsksargen took silver and bronze in the Junior Men Recurve division, respectively, with Chass Mhaiven Colas of CAR winning the gold in the 60-meter event.
Quinn Myer Loreno from Soccsksargen and Davayn Philip Mason from Central Visayas completed the podium results and Justine Mike Evangelista from Northern Mindanao won the gold in the 70-meter event.
