PhilSports Complex Reborn Under Marcos Leadership

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. asked the Philippine Sports Commission to bring back sports programs in schools to help young people stay healthy and disciplined.

He said this after he and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos reopened the newly improved PhilSports Complex in Pasig City. The event showed the government’s support for Filipino athletes and youth sports.

After the ribbon-cutting, the President and First Lady checked the renovated areas, including the National Athletic Center, Dormitory H, and the National Sports Museum.

The renovation was finished in time for the Philippines to host the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup from November 21 to December 7.

President Marcos said he is proud of the upgraded sports complex and thanked the First Lady for leading the project that started in July. He said sports help build discipline, good character, and unity among Filipinos.

The PhilSports Complex is the country’s main sports center. It has four key facilities: a multipurpose arena, a swimming center, a football and athletics stadium, and 10 dormitory buildings for national athletes.
