British superstar Elton John hosted the annual Oscars celebration, which was attended by actress Liza Soberano, who is making waves in Hollywood.
This year’s event, which raises money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, broke previous fundraising records by garnering $10.8 million (P597 million), more than twice as much as it did two years prior.
At the star-studded event, Liza, who had just made her Hollywood debut in “Lisa Frankenstein,” mesmerized guests with her stunning Stella McCartney gown. A subtle silver necklace and an ivory-colored Jimmy Choo minaudière matched the white halter-neck dress with its bedazzling neckline.

Liza’s beautiful gown is estimated by a reseller to be around $5,500, or more than P300,000. Celebrities including Donatella Versace, Sharon Stone, Zooey Deschanel, Danny DeVito, Tim Allen, Elizabeth Hurley, Avril Lavigne, and Heidi Klum were in attendance at the event, which was hosted by Tiffany Haddish, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, and Elton himself.
A bejeweled Yamaha piano signed by the singer, two pairs of Chopard earrings, several of the singer’s personal Rolex watches, an early Andy Warhol illustration, and pinball machines with creative depictions of Elton’s famous career were among the rare objects up for sale.
