Andi Eigenmann proudly supported her daughter, Lilo, in her first national surfing competition in Siargao.
On their Happy Islanders vlog, Andi shared how the family was excited to join the Governor’s Cup, marking the start of surf season in the Philippines. This time, it was extra special because 6-year-old Lilo joined the Junior Girls Division.
Andi said they joined just for the experience since it was Lilo’s own wish to compete. With her dad, pro surfer Philmar Alipayo, helping her get ready, and her mom cheering as her “water girl,” Lilo paddled out bravely. Her little brother, Koa, also shouted, “Good luck, Lilo!”
Even as the youngest in her group, Lilo caught a wave and finished third overall. Andi reminded her daughter that what mattered most was having fun.
Philmar also did great, winning first place in his heats. Andi happily shared online that she is now a “WAM” — wife and mother of athletes — instead of just a “WAG.”
Lilo, who already won the Youngest Surfer Award last year, seems to be following her parents’ surfing path with joy and talent.
