Improved Road in Dumaran, Palawan Boosts Farming and Community Links

The new road in Dumaran, Palawan, makes it easier to go about and helps farms flourish new concrete road that goes to a nearby seaweed field is helping farmers in Barangay Danleg, Dumaran, Palawan. The project is being administered by the 1st District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Palawan. The purpose is to improve people’s lives and assist farming do well.

Rommel P. Aguirre, the first district engineer for Palawan, told Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, the regional director of DPWH MIMAROPA, that the road concreting project will cover 357 linear meters. This portion is part of a bigger project that began in 2018 and will cover 4,166 kilometers.

Now that the road is paved, it should be a lot easier and safer for farmers to get their seaweed to the markets in Dumaran, Roxas, and other neighboring towns. Farmers make more money when the roads are better because they don’t have to deal with as many hassles when they do their work.


People who reside there are considerably happier now that the road is done. They used to have to deal with muck and mud on the old road that wasn’t paved. People believe that building up the infrastructure is the best way to improve life in the community, aid local farmers, and make it simpler to get to markets.
