The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has proclaimed the winners in the first Bangsamoro parliamentary elections, both party and sectoral.
Voting closed Tuesday nite. Maluso, Basilan, was the last town to conclude, with counting delayed due to the flagging of pre-shaded ballots in 36 out of its 68 precincts.
Four parties exceeded the required 2.5 percent of the vote to win seats. They will split the 40 seats reserved for political parties in the 80-seat parliament. The biggest share was won by the Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) with 16 seats. The United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) won 15 seats, the Bangsamoro Grand Coalition (BGC) won eight and the Raayat Democratic Party won one.

Eight more seats go to sectoral groups. Two are for the settler community and two for non-Moro indigenous peoples (IPs). One seat each goes to women, youth, traditional leaders, and the Ulama, or Islamic scholars. The UBJP swept six of the eight.
