Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines officially opened the doors to its Mandaue Showroom at Mereea High Street, Ouano Avenue, bringing its full lineup of electric and smart hybrid SUVs within reach of Cebu’s next-generation drivers.
Headlining the launch is the Philippine debut of the Jaecoo J5 SHS-HEV, a smart hybrid SUV built for the duality of Cebu life: efficient city commutes on weekdays, zero-anxiety escapes to the north and south on weekends.

The opening was strategically timed as the national government pushed for green mobility and as Middle East tensions continued to rattle global oil markets, with Filipino motorists facing renewed fuel price instability.
Against that backdrop, Omoda & Jaecoo positioned its EV and hybrid range not as luxury, but as leverage.
Japson emphasized the brand’s intent to deliver experience, not just exhibition.
“We didn’t bring a static display to Mandaue. We brought the technology, the performance, and the feel. Starting today, Cebuanos can get behind the wheel of the Jaecoo eJ6, J5 SHS-HEV, J7 SHS plug-in hybrid, and the Omoda C5 ICE,” Japson said.
The Mandaue launch was backed by Omoda & Jaecoo’s record-breaking global momentum and aligns with the national push to fast-track EV adoption.
The full leadership of Eres Automotive Inc. was present, including Chairman Eresberto Japson, Vice Chair Susanne Japson, COO Jose Diego Canazares, CFO Jose Orlanda, CMO Jonathan “Joey” Japzon, and other invited guests.
